RESPONSIBILITIES:
The General Accountant will be the primary contributor to the monthly financial close, financial reporting and general accounting operations for the company. Responsible for the following reconciliations: fixed assets and depreciation, prepaid assets, accrued liabilities, tax liabilities. Prepares sales tax returns. Assists with inter-company and foreign currency transactions. Assists with payroll and maintains current knowledge-base of payroll compliance for Federal, State and Local. Acts as a business partner supporting the general business operations with analysis, insight and recommendations. Assists with annual budget and long-term planning. Assists with customer invoicing and contracts and acts as point of reference for customer billing and contract inquiries. Calculates monthly sales commissions. This position requires skill and flexibility in handling aspects of accounting, financial analysis, ERP process improvements and cross-functional projects.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. in Accounting or Finance with 2 to 4 years of hands-on accounting and analysis experience. Advanced user in MS Excel, Access and ERP systems. CMA, CPA or MBA desirable. Ability to solve problems based on experience and recognize when to seek guidance and additional resources. Ability to handle ambiguity and to deal effectively with a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills including the ability to interact vertically and horizontally within the organization. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think globally and strategically.
